What I Wore | EricDress Wide Leg Pants

Hi everyone! How was the mid-week?
I had a lazy start in this week... And its a very busy week at work. What a great timing to feel lazy! (-_-)
Anyways, today I am sharing this very chic and gorgeous wide leg pants I got from Ericdress.com. The cotton blend cloth is thick but soft, very comfortable. Mine is size medium and it fits perfectly.
I love how you can elegantly wear it in formal occasions and modishly wear it on casual occasions too. Still thinking of more ways to wear it though. I'm having some challenging decision on what to pair with its printed design.

Any style suggestions?

By the way, if your interested you can buy this wide leg pants at Ericdress.com at $13.96 now.

Halloween Haul From Rosegal.com

Hey everyone!
So today I will be sharing my Rosegal.com Halloween haul.
First things first... forgive me for the super duper late post. Things got so hectic lately. >.<
I am very please that the shipping was so great! This items arrive so fast.
I was so amaze at the quality of the items. I honestly didn't really expect much because they are so affordable. I'll definitely recommend shopping at Rosegal.com.
So here are the items that I bought...

First up is this skew neck sweatshirt, I so love the statement print of this. Need I say more? It's just so comfy and chic!

Next is the blood choker. This is so cool, it really looks like a true blood inside the drop-shape bottle. If you follow me on Instagram you probably seen this a lot. Ive been wearing this since it arrive.

I also got this Pumpkin Printed Backpack. The kiddo like it that I bought it for him. He apparently love it because his been using it to school. Yes! He doesn't mind if the Halloween is over, he really loves the bag.
I like how the bag has a lot of compartment and the big plus is that theres a special room for my laptop. And its sturdy, with a thick back. I can say my laptop is well protected. This is totally the best deal ever!

I also got this preppy style lace-up short sleeve dress which is also in good quality... Check this out in my blog soon coz I'll be making an outfit post wearing this.

Now the next one is the Halloween Night Owl pillow case... The clothing is canvas. The print is nicely done.

Lastly, the skeleton print bodycon dress you can check out my previous post for the photos because I wore it as a Halloween costume. I have a minor caution for this, I ordered a medium size (the usual size I order for dresses), but it turns out to be big. Although its still wearable but its no longer a bodycon dress on me because it's not fit. Other than that, the quality is great and comfy.

What do you think of the Halloween haul? Have tried shopping at Rosegal.com too?

Halloween 2016

Hey everyone!
I know this is way too late post but I just want to share my Halloween adventures and costume for this year...
The kiddo and I really had fun with our costume and look this Halloween. Even though the kiddo didn't really go all out with his costume compared last year. By the way, for my new readers, the kiddo was a vampire last year.
Initially Justine wants to be a vampire again this year, but we saw this mummy hoodie and pants at the newly open H & M. It was so cool and nice that I bough it for him and he was happy to wear it instead of being a vampire again.
Justine attended the McDonald Halloween Party this year but it was not as much fun as last year. We're both feeling sorry over the kid who go all out with a Harley Quin costume because she didnt get any price. The winners not really that great. She was so fierce and got the spunk of Harley. :(
I on the other hand, received some Halloween goodies from Rosegal.com (the dress and the blood drop choker) that I decided to wear them. I found this white wig at the old closet so I wore them for a more creepy look.
While taking this photos... my son and I had fun scaring the neighbors kid who cried a lot after seeing us in this costumes. XD

How was your Halloween this year?

Liebster Nomination 2016 From Kitty Journal

Hi y'all! Hows life?
I'm currently addicted to Instagram and getting the hang of Twitter, that most of the time I spent most of my spare time there rather than blogging. I am not sure if that's good or not. What do you think?
How about you which social network do you hangout the most?
By the way, if  were not yet friends on Insta and Twitter feel free to connect with me and shoot me a comment on my profile so I can follow you back. I'm @Venussmileygal on both social networks. ^_^
Today, I am going to answer questions that Kai of Kittyjournal.com sent for Liebster nomination.
Thank you Kai for the thoughtful nomination. I enjoyed answering the questions...

1. What’s the story behind your blog name?
Venussmileygal has been my online nickname. And so when I created a personal blog I name it after my online nick. However, back then I am not managing my own domain and hosting so when the domain named expired and was not renewed immediately, the domain was taken away by others because it has a page rank of three and has high traffic. Got totally devastated and I almost stop blogging. When I slowly recovered from that blogging breakdown, I rebuild my blog on EmoteraGoddess.com. I name my blog Emotera Goddess because I am very emotional that time.

2. Who’s your inspiration in life?
My son and my mom. They are my drive to work hard and stay healthy because I know they need me.
And as for my son, he inspires me to be a better and stronger person everyday. I strive to be good and mindful because I know he looks up to me.

3. For what in your life do you feel most grateful?

Family and career... Hopefully in love life soon. :D

4. What’s your favorite dish and why?

Tough question.... I actually love a lot of food.

5. Name one person that left a huge impact on your life.

My son. Having him had a large impact on my life because when I had him every aspect of my life changed. He opened my eyes to something that I didn't see, learn things I didnt know or would never thought I should learn, and find courage to face the cruel circumstances in life. Being a single mom is tough but I am able to stand and move forward to give him a comfortable life now and a brighter future.
6. Do you play any musical instrument? What are those?

No, but I would love to continue learning guitar. I initially learned guitar way back highschool but I stop.

7. If you were given a chance to talk to God, what would it be and why?

Would probably ask me Him when does He plan to send me the love of my life? hahaha
But seriously, I just want to thank Him for all the blessings He has given me now and for always there behind me, extending His hand when I lost my path, carrying me when I cant stand, wipe my tears when I cried a lot and gives me a big hug when I needed it the most. :)

8. Would you ever travel to a non-air-conditioned bus?

I actually prefer non-aircon bus specially in long trips because I have low tolerance of cold air. I feel dizzy and easily get stomach spasm when long exposure to cold air condition.

9. Do you have a planner? How do you keep them neat and accordingly?

I do have a lot planners which are already old. In fact, what I am using now is an old planner from previous years. :D
And that's how I keep it neat and order by not using it that much. hahaha! Kidding aside, I am no longer as religious as before in making use of planners. I am kinda sort of a spontaneous person.

10. Name one restaurant you would like to have/own someday.

A fancy coffee or pastry or tea shop. I've been dreaming of owning a cafe like those we see in Korean dramas.... Quaint, has fancy cups and saucers, decorated with flowers and hand paintings, and has a garden. :D

11. Ramen or Pablo Cheesecake?

Ramen. ;)

There you go everyone. I hope you enjoy getting to know me a bit through this questions... If you have some questions for me, feel free to send them to me in the comment sestion below. I would love to answer them on my next blogpost. ;)

Weekend Plans: Trick or Treat

Hey everyone! Anyone excited for the weekend?
I just realized, while writing this post, that there's a lot of things I look forward for this weekend. Halloween and long weekend to name a few... ^_^

Will spend trick or treat at the mall with the kiddo. And will also checkout the Dinosaur Expo. A friend of mine, Risa, is going to baptize her daughter Alexa this weekend also and I am going to be one of the godmothers.

What I Wore:

I bought this dress when Guess boutique had a big sale. I forgot how much was the cost, but I remembered, I got 70% discount on this dress as well as on a skirt  that I bought too. Me and my friend have no plans on shopping that time. We were about to go home when another friend, who just had shopping at Guess, inform us about the big sale. Glad we didn't missed the chance because it was such a fabulous deal.
Im not sure, if I've previously talked about this gorgeous cardigan from Newchic.com but you may have read this as one on my stylish cardigan wishlist. I love it's waterfall style and the aztec print, so stylishly chic!

What's your plan for the weekend? Drop me your answer at the comment box below.

Jade Hair Straightening Ceramic Brush Review

Hi everyone! How was weekend?
Today I am sharing a gift I received from Irresistible Me... the Jade Hair Straightening Ceramic Brush! This is actually my first to own one like this so I am very much excited when this arrive...
For now, I will be sharing a review on the product itself because I tried taking photos while using it and it turns out not so great (the photos I mean). Its a struggle taking photos on my own.
I just realized Im gonna need to create a video to show you how I use it but will yet gather my confidence so as not to look awkward on camera. ^_^
However, one things for sure... I will be creating another post showing the before and after of using the hair brush
Added bummer is that I just had a new hair style that is cut short (Remember my dramatic ash gray post previously?), so you'll probably not notice the after effect.
Irresistible Me, is a growing brand of 100% natural clip-in hair extensions, hair accessories and hair tools like flat irons and curler. I choose the ceramic straightening brush because (1) I am not really into styling my hair, (2)  I don't have much patience using flat irons, and (3) Im afraid of damaging my hair with flat irons.
Besides being curious about this ceramic straightening brush, I've read and look for some video reviews in using this and I learn that its really a best alternative to flat irons.
Jade Hair Straightening Ceramic Brush
I really like its color very attractive and chic!
It comes in a gorgeously designed and sturdy box with magnetic closure that you can use to store it with.
Jade Hair Straightening Ceramic Brush
When you first switch it on the LCD screen light up. And it will start to heat up fast. The temperature start at the minimum of 350℉/180℃ and the maximum temperature is 450℉/230℃.
In the manual, they recommend the following:
350℉/180℃ for delicate, colored, and fine hair
410℉/210℃ for naturally textured hair
450℉/230℃ for thick or wavy hair

Its anti-scalding bristle is safe to contact on your scalp so you can straighten the hair from the root. I tried touching it with my palm and I feel the heat but it didn't burn my palm.

It's very convenient to use because its lightweight, has a (8ft) long cord, and has a 360 degree swivel cord on the tip that prevent the cord from tangling. It also has a universal voltage (40 Watt) so you can take the brush when traveling. Just make sure to use an adapter to go in the socket.

I actually struggled using the hair straightening brush at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. And I just love that it not only straightens my hair it also make my hair feels so smooth. I like touching it every time.
As for the shipping... It took 3 weeks for this to be delivered door-to-door. The country of origin is Germany. Its actually fast, because I saw in the stamp on the box that it arrived 2 weeks early in the Philippines. The usual slow part is our local postal office.

Have you use a  hair straightening brush too? Any tips you can share?

Thanks for dropping by and reading my blog. And looking forward to read your comments. :)

Casual Halloween Outfits

Hi everyone!
Halloween is just around the corner. Im sure you will be attending a Halloween party or events. As for me I dont have any plans yet but the kiddo has been begging to attend a Halloween costume party like we did last year. So i'll company him
In today's post, I'm sharing some casual dresses that are usually found in our closet that can be a great Halloween costume. So even if your lazy dressing up for a Halloween party you still fit in and has a character to represent. ;)
1. Morticia Addams - I know plain black long maxi dress is more appropriate but when I saw this dress I just thought its a gorgeous alternative costume for Morticia. It's so stunningly sexy dress.
2. Wednesday Addams - Ofcourse I will not forget Morticia's daughter, Wednesday. If you have a black dress just like this sweater dress, just add plain black or black & white stripes stockings or jeggings will do too. And then just braid your hair in half.
3. Doll - I love flare dresses specially with beautiful embroidery details. So if you have lot of them in your closet worry no more you can pegged as a doll. You can match it with white socks and fancy heels or boots. Alternatively, lace dresses can be a great doll costume too.
4. Witch - I know everyone has LBD (little black dress) in their closet. So this can be a great Halloween costume... Grab your pointy black hat and broom and your off to fly wickedly.
5. Goddess/Ghost - Now white maxi dresses can be a great Halloween costume too. You can be Sadaku and just let your long hair cover your face. Or you can go all glamorous and be as Athena, by adding a red scarf hang loss in the left shoulder, gold belt, and a gold headdress.
6. Angel - I am not sure if everyone has a wing white dress but if you do will thats an easy angel costume. However, for those who have lots of sexy white dresses you can make use of it and grab some wings and a halo.
That's it! I hope this can give you some held and give you ideas...
By the way, the dresses in the image above are from Zaful.com
