Was one of the bloggers invited at the Basic House media lunch. I was actually excited when I received the email invitation. As far as you know, I'm a Korean fanatic and learning that the famous Korean fashion boutique - Basic House will open its first Mindanao branch here in Cagayan de Oro I felt ecstatic to attend the media lunch and share first the news to my readers. Yes! You heard me right Basic House will soon to open at the 2nd level of Centrio Mall this coming June 5, 2013. Excited? So do I!

The  Basic House media lunch took place at Italiani's Restaurant. After the lunch I tag along with my blogger friends Irene and Edu at Seda Centrio Hotel where I got the chance to have a little tour at this newly opened hotel. Will talk more about it on a separate post.  So since the place  has a nice view I didn't miss the chance to take a picture of myself. Teheee... ^_^

Thank you by the way to Basic House Philippines, Robinsons Specialty Stores and Miss Precious Heradura for the invites and the freebies.

Looking Forward For Social Media Influencers Summit

It has been awhile since I attended a summit or a gathering of fellow bloggers and social media practitioners. So when I learned about Social Media Influencers Summit that will be happening in Cebu, I got interested and tought of joining. Was even more hype up when the organizers sent me an invitation to attend the event. This could also be a chance to visit some friends who's in Cebu. (Wooohoo!)

Social Media Influencers Summit

Social Media Influencers Summit will be March 16, 2013 at JCenter Convention Center of JCenterMall at Mandaue City, Cebu. There are around 300 social media influencers and users expected to attend th event.
The summit’s theme is the summation of two words: “Trending” + “Forward”
“Trending” means “the general direction in which something tends to move.” Each individual or company may have separate goals, but the ultimate goal of any “Social Media Influencer” is to create a buzz for its cause to make it appear on the “trending” topics of the social media networks.
“Forward” is being used to depict the innovation/presentation that each social media influencers should do to reach and influence the target audience. Buzz is not created by all. It is practiced by those who had mastered it. And this craft is fast changing with the dynamic preference and attitudes of the social media users.

Aside from the summit there were activities set before and after.

Sun Cellular CDO Bloggers Get Together

CDOBloggers had a get together party with Sun Cellular last night at the Seafood Island, Centrio Mall. Everyone had fun on the Q & A portion specially that the prize was a Sun Cellular Plug-it.
The highlight of the evening was the food... Tadaaa! Boodle feast! :D
I actually recommended the place when Carrisa Flores from Sun Cellular asked help for the venue. It was a perfect choice... (I guess) Most of us was a first time diner at Seafood Island so before anyone can touch the food, everyone do the bloggers oath first which is the picture2x!
Right after dinner bloggers are now busy with chikas and on their gadgets. Tweeting, Facebook and the latest CDObies craze - Phewtic. I had a chance to chat with James Lim, Sun Cellular Senior Manager for Digital Marketing, about CDObloggers Org and also on Sun Cellular promos and updates.
With Carrisa Flores and James Lim of Sun Cellular
All in all it was fun night, full of talks and laughter. Thank you so much Sun Cellular for treating the bloggers and for giving us an excuse to go out on a Monday night and enjoy with each other. Thank you also for the freebies! I Got My Personalize Sun Cellular Mobile Number!

And yes lets not forget my outfit on that night...

I choose a yellow top to match Sun Cellular's color which is yellow. That was my first time to wear this feathered black skirt, since I bought it around December last year. ^_^ I added a Firmoo eyeglasses to have a nerdy look. I love how my look turns out!
After the party CDOBloggers still cant get enough and had some camera tripping on some huge posters around Centrio Mall, wherein we copy how the model/artist pose. And I did not missed the chance to have a copy-cut pose also. ^_^

Res|Toe|Run Centrio Mall Opening

Res|Toe|Run invited some fashion/lifestyle bloggers during there opening at the Centrio Mall. When I heard about the invites first, I thought its a restaurant... :D In a way, it is indeed restaurant-food inspired store for shoeaholics’ Kagay-anons like me.

This store surely satisfy every family members appetite for shoes. They have growing menu of footwear selections.
RES - comfortable casual footwear line.
TOE - composed of slippers and sandals that stylishly adore and tickle one’s toes.
RUN - athletic-inspired shoes for active individuals.

Here's the great thing I have discovered, they sell Salvatos and Flipsters. The famous foldable fliplops perfect for traveling. This can also be handy on every girls bag, incase your tired of your heels you can just grab it on your bag and solve the problem. :D

While checking around I spotted 2 items Im eyeing to have...

I want to thank Andrew Dale Camandang, Marketing Communication Officer of Res|Toe|Run for inviting us CDObloggers (Bang, Jacques, Emma) at there opening.
Taking a pic of me with Bang who is very busy taking photos. :D
I really like the decoration and overall look of the store. Its very unique and different from the shoe shops we usually see. And for that, I didn't missed a pic of myself inside the store. ^_^

Pinay Mommies Community Charity Event 2012

Pinay Mommies Community organized a charity event that benefits families who were victims of Typhoon Sendong here in Cagayan de Oro. On July 9, 2012, mommies went to PMC headquarter to pack the goods that will be given away. This are hygiene care packs containing laundry powders, bath soaps, shampoos, dishwashing liquids and fabric conditioners courtesy from P&G e.Studyante Program. And love packs containing used clothes, instant noodles and cupcakes.

Sad to say I was not able to extend my help because I was busy at work. :(
-----------------------
Then on July 14, 2012 the hygiene care and love packs was distributed to 62 families who are Sendong Victims from Zone 6 and Zone 8, Carmen. And still I was not able to make it.
Kodus to the active mommies who were there and extended their help on the packing and distribution...
Mommy Kayce of A Young Mama’s Journey, Mommy Dharlz of Empowered Mom, Mommy Jess of Jessy’s Adventure, Mommy Jacqs of Rolled Into One, Mommy Ems of Memoirs of Lady Soda and Mommy Phebie of Love’s Haven.
And also thank you to the sponsors and the rest of the members of Pinay Mommies Community worldwide for their donations.

Social Media Day in CDO! #smday

Earlier today I joined CDObloggers Social Media Day celebration. This celebration started year 2010 initiated by Mashable to recognize the digital revolution. Now on its third annual Social Media Day celebration CDOBloggers group organized Social Media Day CDO for Kagayanon social media users. Cagayan de Oro City was one of the 461 cities who joined Mashable Social Media Day Meetups.
Social Media Day in Cagayan de Oro was held at BFB, Limketkai. I was not supposed to attend the gathering but for some lucky reasons and kind people I made it and attended the event. A few minutes after I arrived the fun started and the Pizza and drinks was served. A perfect timing for hungry me! :D
While enjoying the pizza CDObloggers President Vicmadz had another exciting brain exercise and asked us to introduce our self by using an adjective on the first letter of our name. If your curios how I introduced myself... It's V for very sexy.. :D
Most of us who attended in the celebration already know each other except for Jerick who came all the way from Iligan City and Onin, Sanasanz friend. Nice to meet you guys!
And oh! Ah come back CDObies also came Yani and Bryan.
Our special guest on the celebration is Mindanaoan who shared a lot of her experiences, perks and some disadvantages in being one of the influential social media user.
There was a raffle and three lucky peeps namely Robstroy, Yani and Roxanne, won web hosting from WebBotics.com. Congrats y'all!
The class picture! There were some people arrived right after this class picture though. So its not a complete class picture. :D

Big thanks to our awesome sponsors:

Yahoo! Purple Hunt Family Edition Comes To A Fun End

Over 400 Filipino families took part in the Yahoo! Purple Hunt Family Edition 3.0 Finale Event held recently at the SM Mall of Asia.

Fifty family teams who successfully finished and advanced from the preliminary five-week long online adventure competed against one another in a series of games during the finale event. There were five rounds of games, with each round trimming down the participants to a smaller group. Each eliminated team received corresponding prizes such as anti-virus software, phones, Tattoo MyFi broadband sticks from event co-presenter Globe Telecom, party and flight packages, and a condominium unit as grand prize for the last standing team.

In the end, it was the mother-daughter team of Carolyn and Catherine Beronilla who emerged as grand winner. They walked away with the coveted prize of a P2.2 million condominium unit from Camella Homes, as well as prizes from the program’s sponsors and supporters.

Mall-goers and walk-ins also enjoyed various stage games such as Yahoo! Bring Me, Multiple Choice Game, Y! Hunt, Draw Your Avatar and Longest Yodel, as well as on-ground booths such as Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! OMG, and Yahoo! Safely. Exciting activities such as ball swim and face painting sessions were also conducted for the kids.

We are privileged to be a co-presenter of this online initiative. We feel strongly about advocating responsible use of internet, being a provider of broadband services like Tattoo,Yoly Crisanto, Head of Globe Corporate Communications. “Through the program, Yahoo and Globe aim to educate parents and their children about the proper use of the World Wide Web in a fun and engaging way. We hope that the families who joined Purple Hunt would continue to spread the word about responsible internet use.

The Yahoo! Purple Hunt 3.0 Family Edition aims to bring the whole family together to explore the Web, discover the various Yahoo! Properties, and spend quality time bonding. Families were given a set of assignments using different Yahoo! properties which promote safety on the internet for the family. Promoting its advocacy on responsible internet use, Globe is this year’s event co-presenter.

A Day With John Lloyd Cruz

Biogesic brings John Lloyd Cruz in Cagayan de Oro to celebrate his 5 ingat years of success today. Luckily, I was one of the few bloggers who was invited to ask a few questions at the press conference at Marco Hotel, Cugman.
The question I've asked John Lloyd Cruz was... Who are the top 3 celebrities he wants to be his leading lady in a movie? At first he actually had difficulty answering it but after awhile he did mentioned Iza Calzado and Caridad Sanchez.

I'll be updating this post with more details on the event but right now I'm too excited to share a kilig video during the presscon... So without further ado here are the videos ...

And so this was the highlight... :D

Special thank to Biogesic and ABS CBN MagTV Na Ato Ni!

Chef Hasset's Baking Workshop Series

Last February 19, 2012 I along with fellow CDObloggers attended the  Culinary Institute in Cagayan de Oro Open House. This is actually my second time to visit CIC because I have also been invited to the All You Want Bars!  Pastry Workshop of Chef Hasset go.

This time around its another pastry workshop which is the favorite cakes cooking demo still with Chef Hasset Go. It started early in the morning and I was even late for the orientation. After that we were toured around there school rooms and facilities. In one of the rooms there was an on going class on international cuisine. Ahhh! I cant wait for April to come so I can start with my International Cuisine 5-Day Workshop. ;)

Finally, the workshop started. We were given the menu of each 4 cakes to be baked; Caramel Custard Cake, Concorde, Purple-Jackfruit Cake and Chocolate Truffle Cake. Since the baking is long we were able to witness the baking demo for Caramel Custard Cake and Chocolate Truffle Cake because the other half resume on the afternoon.

Its really fun and interesting learning on how to bake cakes. I myself would love to learn more of it because I want to bake and decorate it according to my taste. However, I opted for the international cuisine workshop this summer because I wanna learn cooking delicious cuisines from different parts of the world first.

That 2 workshops I have attended in CIC, hype up my interest and inspired me to really pursue cooking and baking class. Watching and listening to Chef Hasset Go made it more inspiring because he started young on the pastry industry which dubbed him the youngest pastry chef in the country.  Other than that, because of he knows how to cook different delicious food and he bakes pastries and sweets he found a career and eventually build his own business. And of course not to mention his good-looking features (you guys know what I mean. :D) which every girls weakness is already inspiring because you will be seeing Chef Hasset at CIC as one of the instructors.
