#HotelReview: Mango Park Hotel

Hey everyone! On today's post will be sharing a review on Mango Park Hotel.
When we traveled to Cebu previously, we stayed at Mango Park Hotel.
First off, we commissioned the hotel to pick us at the airport and updated them the estimated arrival time in Cebu but they unfortunately arrived super late at the airport for the usual reason... traffic. This is a big deal to me that time, because our flight have lots of setback that when we arrive in Cebu we're very tired and hungry already. Good thing when we arrive the hotel's costumer service is good and the ambiance is relaxing.
Our room was the standard room costing Php1,850.00 per night.
I like it that the hotel is very accessible to malls like Ayala Terraces as well as known tourist spots like Basilica Del Santo Nino, Taoist Temple.

Hotel guest lobby... So welcoming!
Parking lot outside the hotel...

The view the window of our room.

Likes:
The room is complete with flat screen TV (with 25 Channels of skycable provider), Hair blower dryer, Safety vault, electric heater, cup and saucer (with complementary set of coffee, sugar and cream), bottled water, bath towel, shampoo and body soap, sets of dental kit.
There's a Filipino Restaurant (Lighthouse Restaurant) and a fastfood (Jollibee) near the hotel.
They offer free breakfast. Just be early so you can catch more options. I love that they have a variety of options on the breakfast. Cereals, waffles, salad, fruits and heavy meals like rice, hotdog, egg, fried potato and many more.
Even though our room is facing the road, you can't hear the vehicles outside.

Dislike:
No night lamps. So its either sleep with no lights or full lights on.
Phone seems to be not working.
Water in the bathroom takes time to drain. So when you shower its like your flooded.
The bathrooms has no cold/hot showers.
I'm not satisfied with the wifi because its hard to connect even if they had routers on every floor.
The railings at the rooftop is not safe. So better watch out for the kids if your go there with them.
The pool at the rooftop is so deep for children, around 5 feet as they say. So if your bringing kids and they will use the pool parental guidance is strictly advice. (Dislike coz I dont know how to swim. ^_^)

Overall it was a good stay and will probably still comeback because the location is great. I will recommend!

#Travel2015: Cebu

Hi there! Hows everyone been doing? Me? Getting lazier in updating this blog. Seems like this has always been my lame excuse when Im not blogging for awhile huh... There's a lot of things I want to share with you and will start with my trip to Cebu last January.

I tag along with my cousin and her family, who had to travel to Cebu for some important appointment to attend. It was an unplanned trip and I love it coz I got the chance to travel on the first month of the year. I am hoping this will be a mark of more travel this year. (Crossing Fingers)

Will be blogging more about the places we've visited but let me give you the summary of our trip through this pics...

Just had an hour of sleep because I worked graveyard... Then we woke  up extra early for a roadtrip to the airport and to catch our flight in time, which unfortunately was super delayed... And unluckily turn out to be cancelled flight, that we had to transfer to another flight for Cebu.

Hello Cebu! The trip was just short compared to the hours we waited for our plane. We're already super hungry and the van from the hotel that we commissioned to pick us up arrived late. (>.<)

Arrived at Mango Park Hotel... finally! The view from our room...

Would love to lay down and grab the much needed rest but my tummy wont let me.

We grabbed our late lunch/early dinner at the SM City Mall... The food court there is so nice and clean. You can choose a variety of delicious viands at the affordable prices without waiting. Most likely on peak hours like lunch and dinner time, you have to wait in line when paying because its "Pay as you order" service.

After lunch, the kids went to Worlds of Fun which just beside the food court. And since Im a kid-at-heart too... I joined them. I miss riding bump cars. I rarely see one here locally so took this chance to enjoy it with the kids.

Before heading home this Crazy Crepes catch our attention and so we tried it! I love it!

Travel wont be complete without visiting the tourist spots...

First stop... Taoist Temple!

Basilica del Santo NiƱo...

Magellan's Cross...

Looking for pasalubong or goodies to love ones? Drop by at La Fortuna Bakery which is right behind the Magellan's Cross.

Ayala Terraces...

For dining... You might enjoy cherry blossoms in France at La Vie Parisienne!

Lighthouse Restaurant which is fortunately right beside our hotel serves delicious native foods. Two thumbs up!
Thats it folks... Will share more details about our Cebu trip in my upcoming post.

That Trip To Manila

Off to Manila with my cousin and her boyfriend.
It was supposed to be my vacation escape of the year but it turn out not that way. To the last minute my cousin change schedule so instead of staying in Manila for 2 days we just had 1 day to stroll around. With that the itinerary that I've planned didn't happened also. Here it is:
Day 1
Zoobic Safari (PHP 495)
Activities: features a wide range of habitats like; Tiger Safari, Croco Loco, Savannah, Rodent World, Serpentarium, Aetas Trail, Petting Show and Animal Moozeum.
Marine Park(Php 500) Featuring whale and sea lion shows.
Day 2
Ocean Park Snow Village and then shop at Mall of Asia
When we arrived we rest and had lunch at the hotel. And then off to Mall of Asia for a stroll and dinner. Bought a cellphone for uncle at Nokia Store.
Had my first taste of New Orleans cuisine. Dinner at Gumbo.
Shop for make up at Etude House Mall of Asia.
I was determined to fulfill even just Day 1 of my plan but the travel time will eat out the hours because instead of the 1:45 hours planned it was said that it takes 3 hours to travel Subic. And we still need to take her boyfriend to the airport for his international flight in the morning of Day 1. Instead our day was just spent in Baclaran. We visited the church first, offer our prayer and off to the market and shop. I still haven't give up yet and I suggested ocean park coz I really wanted to witness the Snow Village and will going to stroll at Newport Mall in the evening and grab dinner there but my cousin isn't feeling well. She doze off the whole afternoon. On the evening we went back to Mall of Asia for dinner. we dine at Bulgogi Brothers, a Korean restaurant. The menu is expensive but its all worth with the great costumer service and great tasting food. :)

The next day our flight was scheduled at 2 PM, so we still have time to buy Krispy Kreme or JCo Donuts for pasalubong, but I just doze myself off the whole morning. I even had to drag myself off to bed to prepare to leave and say my goodbye to Manila.
We had a super delayed flight that time also. Boarding time was supposed to 2:25 PM but instead we board the the plane around 3PM and then we stayed at the plane for almost 2 hours because there was a traffic congestion on the planes. We arrived CDO already very late around 6PM. Hmmmm So Manila is holding me back huh! :D
