Goodbye Smartbro! Hello PLDT MyDSL!

Last Monday I freak out when my internet connection is very slow or should I say close to no connection at all. Yes, I can open page for a couple of minutes but then I can't upload even a word document report. Ive been experiencing this slow internet connection for almost 3 months and I have reported the problem to Smartbro with no reply/action. So since my Smartbro plug-it plan is only locked-in for 6 months and thats going to be on September, I immediately applied for a wired connection through PLDT MyDSL. I choose the Php 1,300 per month package which already include unlimited DSL, landline, Watchpad, free installation and modem.

So I applied last Tuesday. They actually told me installation will be after 5 days but it only took 2 days and I am already using PLDT MyDSL now. I really thought it will took me awhile to get internet connection since I have friends whom waited weeks and months before internet connection was installed in PLDT also.

My landline phone can't make calls yet but internet is already working with the following speed:

It is fast. I have tried watch videos on Youtube continuously. I'm crossing my fingers it will be like this everyday.

Blogging My Frustrations On Pizza Delivery Service

I actually don't like blogging this because its a negative feedback but just to calm myself I will blog my frustrations. While I am blogging now I am waiting for the pizza that I have ordered from Bianos Homemade Pizza almost 2 hours ago. :( It's so frustrating they should have inform me that my pizza will arrive 2 hours after. I ask them how many minutes will the pizza arrive right after I ordered but they did not answer me. So its not my fault if im so mad and sad about them. They should informed me for the delay but instead its me keep asking them when is it going to arrived. They texted me awhile ago that pizza is on the way but its almost 1 hour past and pizza still did not arrive, to think my house is 10 minutes from Bianos Homemade Pizza place. If I wasn't busy with my work I should have bought it myself! And to think I was supposed to choose other pizza delivery services but thinking that Bianos Homemade Pizza is just a few minutes ride so I choose them.

I remember a friend too experienced the delay of delivery and cancelled her order. So just a tip to anyone who is going to order at Bianos Homemade Pizza expect a long delay of there delivery. Don't order if you're already hungry.

****My pizza finally arrived exactly 2 hours but my appetite for pizza was already gone and the pizza is not hot anymore. Frustrating! :(

Breathe Hope Bracelets

A few weeks ago a fellow blogger Dingexx shared a video and baby Jon Angelo Viado blog in plurk about a baby boy who is suffering from Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy(HIE). In order for this 2 year old baby to breath he is hooked to a mechanical ventilator 24/7. Baby Jon Angelo Viado's parents made a Breathe Hope bracelets to help them raised funds to buy for Baby Jon Angelo's own mechanical ventilator.

Along with fellow CDObloggers we purchased Breathe Hope bracelets in bulked. We also contacted friends who also wants to buy and help. For more information on the Breathe hope bracelets please do check baby Jon Angelo Viado blog.

My First Water Rafting Experience!

I paddled the water but I felt the pain after...

My body ache all over today after a very adventurous and fun activity yesterday. Together with cousins; Nike and Mitch and foreign friends; Craig (my cousins husband), Krystal and Kelly from Australia we went water rafting. It was actually our first rafting experienced for the 4 of us except Krystal and Craig who are already a pro.

We booked for advance 2 course which was Php 1, 500 per head at 1st Rafting Adventure. We started our rafting from Quarry to Brgy. Mambuaya passing 13 km river stretch with 13 major rapids. I was actually scared since I don't know to swim and advance 2 is next to extreme rafting (which is the more likely for experienced paddler). It was also raining so water is wild. Good thing in our boat only me doesn't know how to swim and everyone is watching over me every time we passed wild rapids. I almost fall once and I rolled over on the other side of the boat twice.

My rafting moments...

• We passed by a long wire connected to the other side of the river and our river guide yell "it's a live wire!" and all of us 4 in our boat do the "matrix action" and lie flat to avoid the wire our river guide name Allan laugh his ass of seeing all of us really believed that it is a live wire.
• Passing the second rapids I lost balance and almost fall good thing Kelly was fast yelling my name and hold me. For a moment I really thought I am going to fall on the rock... scarrrrry!
• Our river guide Allan really practice his piece. While we are approaching big rocks with grasses all over he was telling about different snakes going out in the rocks and sometimes jumps inside the raft. As our raft approaches the rocks Allan throw a yellow stripe rope at us and all for of us was yelling and the guys almost jump out of the raft... hahahaha
• Harvey one of our raft-mates was instructed to sit infront of the boat and hold still and as we are about to approach the wild rapids he already fall inside the boat just before wild waves starting to rock our boat. All of us almost lost our balance laughing at him as we reached the wild rapids. hahahaha...
• Kelly's paddle! We were instructed by our river guide to stand on the boat while approaching the rapids and that no one is going to sit down. Kelly having hard time balancing drop her paddle on the water and rolled over inside the boat and we paddled forward trying to get her paddle and fighting the wild waves. We were like somebody fall from our boat.

After water rafting we went to SM City CDO to watch movie. Since Salt already started playing we decided to wait for the next show which is an hour after. So we first had dinner and enjoyed the basketball shooting at the Worlds of fun.

GAPACU-ED D' Reunion Planning

Last Saturday…

I had a good time catching up with Marriane and Carmen at the Village Den. I expected to see a lot of all old faces from way back high school but sad to say only 2 arrived. But that’s okay as long as they won’t miss the Reunion Day. Yan ang importante!
Anyways, we manage to finish the agenda that night the planning of our get-together. We were planning while having chikka about how we are doing now in between. It’s been 8 years past and we are excited to reconnect with former classmates who have been part in the 4 years of studying at Cagayan de Oro National High School. I really wonder how they are all doing since our class is composed of different characteristics, complex and talented people.

The reunion planning…

Together with Marriane and Carmen we plan the details of our reunion and discussed every detail and possible questions that other may ask or want to include. And here was what we have decided:

• Where: Midway Beach Resort, Lasang, Divine Mercy
• When: Weekend.September 18-19, 2010
• Assembly time: 6:30 AM, Mcdonalds DV Soria
• Departure: 7:00 AM
• Tentative Reg. Fee: Php 500

1. During my online survey most of them likes beach so we decided Midway Beach Resort is the perfect place since meron din silang pool, group cottages for overnight stay, zipline and more activities to enjoy. A perfect place for bonding talaga!


2. The tentative registration fee is Php 500 pero this will change if marami ang mag confirm and meron ding magsponsor sa major expenses. I know this may seem to be big but this is also the main reason as to why sa September na ang reunion. Para na din to give others the chance to save. Pero sa hindi talaga maka-afford the whole bill just conact me ill arrange whatever you can give basta ang importante is ang presence nimo. Just help me convince others to sponsor nalang dayon. Hehehe … And please sa mga ka-afforrd share your blessings and sponsor. ;)


3. The When. Well, we weigh things over talaga. During the survey most people are available during weekends lang, so majority wins. Then others from far towns are going to file leave of absence just to attend this event so might as well give them much time to spend with us.


4. Assemble time is early because we need to travel from CDO to Initao. So we could spend much time na talaga.


5. To others who will not file leave of absence you can attend on Sunday activities instead.


6. The itinerary. Might be meron pa changes kasi Marriane and I will check the place pa. But here are the fix activities:


• Saturday:


1. CDO Departure


2. Midway Beach Resort Arrival


3. Lunch


4. Catching up


• Sunday:


1. Lasang for zipline adventure. (Or if you want naa sad Lasang Park you decide which is which.)


2. Devine Mercy. Might as well hapit ta diri since malabyan mani in going back CDO.


7. Couple issue. Ahmm.. we decided that this event will be exclusively for us GAPACUED Family because as what Marriane said “Mas nice magcatch up na dili matunga ang attention because of the babies and GF/BF”. But don’t worry guys! We will meet your GF/BF, Husband/Wife and babies on December sa Christmas Party. (Basta paningkamotan nato na madayon. Think positive!) But this September na event take it as your vacation or give yourself a break and have fun like we used too in highschool. As in reminisce ever jud!;)
