A Place Called Mine

Hello Monday!

What was your dream house when you we're a kid?

Mine was a 2-story house because I was dreaming of having a big family. So everyone can have their own rooms. And then it should have a beautiful kitchen, swimming pool and a garden.

However, this change when I grow up...

I now wanted a simple 1-story house. I still want it to have a garden in it though... One of the reason that change my mind perhaps is that I'm now afraid of big houses. Blame it to the horror movies... hahaha
Kidding aside, I actually don't remember when and how it changed...  All I remember is that I did dream once to have my own condo, experience being free to do what I want in  my own private space and have a job that ables me to travel everywhere. But this didn't happen because Ive taken a different path... which is working at home. The good thing is I can still travel whenever I want, I just need to save for the expenses.
 Moving on....
I am sharing to you a wonderful experience me and my friends had at Primavera Residences. It's a serviced-condo here in our city. You can either have the option to buy a unit or rent a unit if you don't plan to stay long here in Cagayan de Oro.
What I actually like about Primavera is that the facilities are great. The property is eco-friendly... Has an indoor garden, gym and swimming pool in the building.
Me and my friends really enjoyed our weekend. Foodtrip, swimming, movie nights and girl talks... In the morning, we got the chance to do a walking exercise because there is a wide area at the back of the SM City Mall. Oh I forgot to mention this, the condo is near a mall. How good is that? Just a walking distance to shopping and grocery.
So perfect! I can imagine, me living in this community will have a healthy lifestyle. I can have the options to have a walking exercise, use the gym or swim at the pool.
No wonder we don't wanna go home yet after the weekend stay is over. It was such a nice place to be.
If your visiting Cagayan de Oro and looking for a place to stay, try out Primavera Residences serviced condos. For more information visit inCDO.com blog for the rates and facilities of Primavera Residences.

So the weekend was spent traveling to and fro the island. I didnt get to take any outfit post though so ill be sharing photos of the beautiful island which is the hometown of my mom. And as much As I want to talk more about the hometown of my mom. Will live this photos to tell stories for I am so tired right now...
Photos taken using my Sony Experia Z...

#Photography: Sunset

Just a quick post say thank you to my regular and new readers... I really appreciate all of you. Please do leave me a message on my comment box, so I can drop by and say hello to your blog and social account as well.
Today is actually a lazy day for me. I was supposed to schedule some blog post and share my weekend activities and outfit but I cant seem to create a post out of it.
Anyways, while cleaning some files on my PC I saw my sunset photographs. This sunset shot is taken a few weeks ago. One of the things I am thankful here at our home is that, this view that we see at our window. Yes... we have a beautiful cityscape or should I landscape view!
Me and my Nikon dslr are still on a getting to know each other level for quite a long, long time now. hahaha Shame on me! But I am kicking my butt  every now and then to really maximize this camera and share some great photos here on my blog.
If your an expert on dslr camera, I would appreciate tips and tricks on how to learn and take good shots for outfits, food and whatever photo subjects. ;)
Question to end this post... Are you ready for the new weekday grind?

Goodbye Stargate Dream Vacation Resort!

How was your weekend everyone?

Stargate Dream Vacation Resort is one of our go to place for swimming. Although we have several bad experiences here, we still found ourself heading to this place for a swim.

What I dont Like:
Expensive pool fee.
Food serve longer.
Costumer service is 4/10.
Swimwear rules is not strictly applied. We've witnessed a few times others swim in tshirt and pants.
Can get crowded on weekends.

What I like:
Very nice ambiance.
Great view of Cagayan de Oro river in the pool area.
Enjoy the beauty of nature.
Instagram-friendly place.
Minutes away from the city.
Buffets on weekends with live bands.
Options to grill your own food.
They serve delicious mango float... :P

Lately though we dont go for a swim at this resort anymore because the last time we went for a swim they restricted the swimming pool. Its no loner available for individual walk-ins, only for a minimum group of 10 unless we will pay Php 2, 500.00 (which is the total fee of 10 people). Thus, this post title... me bidding goodbye to one of my go-to swimming place.

Here's a photo of our last swim at Stargate Dream Vacation Resort...

#WrapUp: July 2015

July has been a very busy yet productive month for me. In between the laziness I am glad I was able to be productive at the same time. I actually thought this will not be possible but looking back, it was indeed possible...
So to wrap it all up.. I'll share things I havent get the chance to share in my previous blog post. As well as, some explanations, observation and or whatever random thoughts I have this month.

  • Monthly Wrap-up Post. First off... this is my first wrap-up post. This is the first time I am doing this kind of blog post. Will see if I can keep up on creating monthly wrap up post like this. So why create post like this? Well, I just felt the need to have a venue I can share some random thoughts I have this month that I want to share to my readers.
  • #PowerCrisis. One of the reason Im slacking on some blog post and work is that this power crisis that our city is experiencing. We have a daily power interruption schedule, such a hassle!
  • Graveyard Shift. In relation to #PowerCrisis. I am back to sleeping in the morning and wake up late. I have started working on waking up in the morning and sleep before 12 midnight. Im yet to adjust and cope up again because of the power interruption. I hate that the whole schedule that Ive been trying to make into a routine had to be destroyed because I need to adjust with the power interruption schedule.
  • The Versatile Blogger Award. I just want to thank Journal of Style for the nomination, it is truly an honor. And I apologize for not publishing my nominations. Honestly, I am still yet to gather bloggers to nominate. So if you want to be nominated feel free to post in the comment section. :)
  • Disqus No More. Frustratingly, Disqus has some problems with their system update. So I switch back to the built in comment section of my blog. Which I find convenient and neat in the end. I apologize for some comments that are not displayed because the sync option of Disqus wont work. :(
  • Comment and Blog Hopping. This month also I started  a comeback on actively visiting fashion/lifestyle blogs and commenting. It feels good to be back... I must say its one reasons why Im actively blogging as well. I hope to get to know more bloggers here in my blog. Thank you for visiting and posting comments on my blog everyone! :*
  • Collaborations. I just want to take this opportunity as well to thank the companies and businesses who partnered with me. So far this month, I think, has the most partnership offers that arrived in my email. I had a great time online shopping. Cant wait for the items to arrived! ^_^
  • Follow for Follow. And of course, I'll be glad to exchange follow, feel free to drop your links in the comment section. Here's my links:

#OOTD For July:

Relaxing at Chali Beach Resort

How was your weekend so far? Friday is a holiday here in the Philippines.
"The Philippine National Government already declared July 17, 2015 as a Regular Holiday nationwide as Filipino Muslims prepare for the celebration of Eid’l Fitr, the feast marking the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan."
Me and my girl friends spent the holiday at Chali Beach Resort. Technically we planned for a swim but we ended just relaxing and had a fun chitchat. We weren't able to swim because the kids who swim before us carelessly pooped on the pool that the resort had to clean the pool, so the pool will be unavailable for 4 hours.
Parents should be mindful when their kids are using public pools. They should not just leave them there alone and should teach their kids for some good etiquette. The kids are swimming alone and no adult was watching over them except for the resorts lifeguard.
I was so excited to swim pa naman sana... but I guess what happened was a blessing in disguise because it would be harmful for us swimming on a dirty pool.
Good thing the resort has a nice view and ambiance. The wind from the sea is so relaxing that we didnt mind that our plan for a swim didn't push through.

Here's some snapshots of Chali Beach Resort that I took...

My pretty friends enjoying a good chitchat while im busy taking photos... ;)

I like that they have this buzzer everytime you need to order or need a service from the the waiters. They're also very prompt in responding after you push the button. My friend really had a good time pushing that button... :D

My friend is a pasta lover so she ordered this pasta but she didnt enjoy this pasta though....

I ordered this Fruit Platter at Php 145.00. It taste good except for the watermelon, but way too expensive.

The beautiful sunset view by the beach.... Standing here while taking pictures makes me reminisce of old times.
My mom use to stay at my aunts house which just in the neighborhood of this resort. So we use to swim on part of this beach (in the photo below). In this beach, I had my first beach swimming where I cried out of fear. I even had a picture of it with my aunt. I was so young then...
I also remember how we use to crossed in that dikes just to swim here in the resort's beach for free. I have a relative who is a caretaker of a private property next to this resort, so we use to enter there and then swim to this resorts beach with our picnic basket swimming with us. hahaha

My memories in this resort didn't stop there... This used to be a playground before when this cottages has not been built yet. My aunts, little cousins and me used to visit here in the afternoon and play. My cousins learned how to walk here because the grass area was so wide and I had fun playing at the playground.

In this resort also was where one of my aunt had her wedding reception held. I remember after wedding, I run around still in my flower girl gown and then fell in the pool. I don't know how to swim so my uncle, the groom, had to rush in and jump in the pool in his tuxedo to save me... I was that clumsy... ^_^ It was a good memory though because everyone ended swimming in the pool after...

Those were the days... I had a great trip down memory lane in Chali Beach Resort. I didn't notice I spent so many good memories here. Its good to have visited this place once again. :)
