Style Origin 2014: Mensweek

Ayala Malls once again sets the stage for Style Origin on June 7-8, 2014 at the Centrio Mall Activity Center.

On the first day was the Mensweek. Male models parade on the runway in style featuring the latest trends from Global Filipino designers for Mensweek on June 7, 6PM. There is not much styles that I like but will featuring some standout styles that was showcase in the runway.

This top actually come with a built in bag at the back. The is see-through also. It'll be epic to see someone wearing this locally but I know most man wont dare wear so unless on the runway or pictorial.  :D

Crown.Pink.Feathers. This details shouts girl-ish style but I actually think its okay minus the crown though when worn. :D

The top is made of rubber. Guess this one is inspired from a parrot bird, very colorful. It kind of look tribal also though except for the material of the top.

And yes Joseph Marco grace the runway. He wore a suit design by M Barretto.

Flash - "Let there be light" Photography Workshop

Attended the free photography workshop that hosted by Colours Digital Foto last March 15 at Centrio Mall. It was limited to 100 registrant at first but due to the demand they increased Workshop slots to 300. I was able to register online when the in-store registration was already close. There a lot of photographers joined the actual event. And the good thing the workshop is that it was open for everyone even for a newbie like me. And I must say I learned a lot from the pro's although there are some topics Im having hard time to comprehend. Basically the workshop is all about the benefits in using flash photography. It was handy for me because I dont used much my flash because I was relying on the built-in flash in my DSLR camera.

Book: Your Mind At Its Best

Everytime I pass by at National Bookstore - Centrio I always go inside and visit my favorite spot... the Religion/Inspiration bookshelf. I am actually looking for a book called The Secret Daily Teachings but they only have The Secret on display always. I haven't checked other branches though if its available there because I often visit Centrio Mall and National Bookstore is in an area where I often pass by whether I'll go grab some meal or going to grocery. Most of the times when I visit other malls I always forget to check the National Bookstore.

Anyways, today I checked on the books on display and I saw Rhonda Byrnes newest book Hero (The Secret) is now available. I am tempted to buy it but I really wanted to own first The Secret Daily Teachings. So instead I checked on other books. There where a lot of new books on the shelf and I was attracted to this book... Your Mind At Its Best: 40 Ways To Keep Your Brain Sharp by David Biebel, James Dill and Bobbie Dill. I got curios and so I run through the pages on one of the unwrap books. I find it useful and interesting to read and so I end up buying it instead.

Centrio Mall just had its first anniversary here in Cagayan de Oro. To celebrate this they are having a mall wide sale from November 8-10, 2013.

Got busy and lazy the past few days and so I was catching for a last minute shopping on the last day of sale. I was actually catching if that item for my new gadget was on sale but unluckily it wasn't. So I end up checking other shops and strolling  around the mall of which I spotted a lady with a big paper bag of Payless. And yes the shoeholic in me awaken. Ive been an avid shopper of Payless ShoeSource so I immideately went to the shop and voila look what I see...

Kasalang Filipino 2013

I happened drop by at Centrio Mall to meet a friend and just when I'm about to go home I thought of taking pictures at the on going event at the Centrio Event Center. Its actually the last day of a 3-day event of Kasalang Filipino 2013. I have consistently attended Kasalan sa Kagay-an the past years and this year they now change its event name to Kasalang Filipino. I remember the first Kasalan sa Kagay-an I have attended I blogged about my Dream Wedding right after when I got home. Yes ganun ang effect!  Hopefully next year though when I will attend the next Kasalang Filipino I will be booking vendors for my own wedding already. Tehee... ^_^

Basic House Soon To Open its First Mindanao Branch in Centrio Mall

Was one of the bloggers invited at the Basic House media lunch. I was actually excited when I received the email invitation. As far as you know, I'm a Korean fanatic and learning that the famous Korean fashion boutique - Basic House will open its first Mindanao branch here in Cagayan de Oro I felt ecstatic to attend the media lunch and share first the news to my readers. Yes! You heard me right Basic House will soon to open at the 2nd level of Centrio Mall this coming June 5, 2013. Excited? So do I!

The  Basic House media lunch took place at Italiani's Restaurant. After the lunch I tag along with my blogger friends Irene and Edu at Seda Centrio Hotel where I got the chance to have a little tour at this newly opened hotel. Will talk more about it on a separate post.  So since the place  has a nice view I didn't miss the chance to take a picture of myself. Teheee... ^_^

Was invited to the launching of Ayala Malls Style Origin at Centrio Ayala Mall. The fashion show was directed by the acclaimed Robbie Carmona and hosted by Phoemela Baranda.

#OOTD: Ayala Land Lunch Meeting

I never thought I would like turtle neck blouses until I own 2 of them. Now it’s one of the most worn blouses in my closet. The boots I worn above also thought me a lesson the first time I worn it. In fact, that’s the second time I’ve worn it after a few months of trying to get over on that embarrassing moment. .The lesson I learn from this shoes is that always know your destination before going out of the house so you will know if you’re wearing the appropriate shoes. ^_^

We met James and Ayala Land sales manager, Miss Grace yesterday with CDOBloggers Chairman of the board Mike, the newly instated CDOBloggers VP-external Jacqs and CDObloggers new member Liz. The main topic of the meeting was Ayala Land is interested in partnering with CDObloggers, Inc. They are asking our assistance on promoting the Alegria Hills in Indahag, Cagayan de Oro. From then we have come up our first event with Ayala Land which is the Alegria Hills Bloggers Tour this coming March 24, 2013.

Sun Cellular CDO Bloggers Get Together

CDOBloggers had a get together party with Sun Cellular last night at the Seafood Island, Centrio Mall. Everyone had fun on the Q & A portion specially that the prize was a Sun Cellular Plug-it.

The highlight of the evening was the food... Tadaaa! Boodle feast! :D 

 I actually recommended the place when Carrisa Flores from Sun Cellular asked help for the venue. It was a perfect choice... (I guess) Most of us was a first time diner at Seafood Island so before anyone can touch the food, everyone do the bloggers oath first which is the picture2x!

Right after dinner bloggers are now busy with chikas and on their gadgets. Tweeting, Facebook and the latest CDObies craze - Phewtic. I had a chance to chat with James Lim, Sun Cellular Senior Manager for Digital Marketing, about CDObloggers Org and also on Sun Cellular promos and updates.

All in all it was fun night, full of talks and laughter. Thank you so much Sun Cellular for treating the bloggers and for giving us an excuse to go out on a Monday night and enjoy with each other. Thank you also for the freebies! I Got My Personalize Sun Cellular Mobile Number!

I choose a yellow top to match Sun Cellular's color which is yellow. That was my first time to wear this feathered black skirt, since I bought it around December last year. ^_^ I added a Firmoo eyeglasses to have a nerdy look. I love how my look turns out!

After the party CDOBloggers still cant get enough and had some camera tripping on some huge posters around Centrio Mall, wherein we copy how the model/artist pose. And I did not missed the chance to have a copy-cut pose also. ^_^  

Res|Toe|Run Centrio Mall Opening

Res|Toe|Run invited some fashion/lifestyle bloggers during there opening at the Centrio Mall. When I heard about the invites first, I thought its a restaurant... :D In a way, it is indeed restaurant-food inspired store for shoeaholics’ Kagay-anons like me.

This store surely satisfy every family members appetite for shoes. They have growing menu of footwear selections.
RES - comfortable casual footwear line.
TOE - composed of slippers and sandals that stylishly adore and tickle one’s toes.
RUN - athletic-inspired shoes for active individuals.

Here's the great thing I have discovered, they sell Salvatos and Flipsters. The famous foldable fliplops perfect for traveling. This can also be handy on every girls bag, incase your tired of your heels you can just grab it on your bag and solve the problem. :D

I really like the decoration and overall look of the store. Its very unique and different from the shoe shops we usually see. And for that, I didn't missed a pic of myself inside the store. ^_^

Etude House In CDO Finally!

I have already mention a few times here that im addicted to anything Korean right? Well, here's a good news to me and to my fellow kikay Kagay-nons...
I am just happy right now coz Etude House will be opening 2 branches here in Cagayan de Oro. I first saw the tarp the other day at SM City CDO when me and my son went strolling. I immediately took a photo of it and share it on my instagram.

The next day I learned that Etude House will also be opening a branch at the soon-to-open Centrio Mall. Wow! What a treat! Definitely happiness to the max... Firstly, I can finally buy there product straight from the shop and not just online. Second, I will no longer wait that long since on November 9, 2012 along with Centrio Mall opening Etude House will also open there shop. SM City CDO branch has no opening date yet. And third, well Centrio is just a few minutes away (not to mention 1 ride only) from our place.
