Page Rank Level Up!

Thank you so much to my followers and readers in both my CDO Guide blog and Live.Laugh.Love personal blog. Both turns PR 3 today.

Page Rank Check

Rest assured I will continue providing quality post that not only share my everyday existence but also something that my readers will learn and get updates about Cagayan de Oro and more.

For those who are not familiar with PageRank, heres how Google describes it:
PageRank reflects our view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that we believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.
PageRank also considers the importance of each page that casts a vote, as votes from some pages are considered to have greater value, thus giving the linked page greater value. We have always taken a pragmatic approach to help improve search quality and create useful products, and our technology uses the collective intelligence of the web to determine a page's importance.

Bukidnon Blogging 101 & Make Money Online

It was a fun and challenging experienced yesterday during the Bukidnon Blogging 101 and Make Money Online at Malaybalay, Bukidnon. The event was organized by Miss Irene Aserios of Bukidnononline.com and invited the CDO Bloggers as the speakers. This plan supposedly takes place months ago but due to schedules of both Irene and CDObloggers Group is so busy the event was always postponed. However, yesterday the event successfully concluded and the new Bukidnon Bloggers group finally emerged with a new set of core group. Together with 10 CDObloggers we travel Malaybalay early morning, 7 of us were speakers of the event and the other 3 are the support group.
As one of the speakers in the event it was not easy. I was not used in talking in front of a big crowd. And even though CDObloggers already organized several blogging events I still got stage fright. Well, during this series of blogging events I'm the person behind the cameras so my stage fright is justified. :D Oh! I remember I did experience being the speaker once. It was during one of our Blogging 101 forum this year but it was not a big crowd. Anyways, I'm so glad my talk went well and that I was able to share my knowledge to fellow bloggers and aspiring newbie bloggers.

The Bukidnon Blogging 101 would be one of my good memories to remember because not only I was one of the speakers but also I witness the organizational meeting of the new Bukidnon Bloggers group which took place after the workshop yesterday. I was happy that finally they have an organized group and active core that is willing to give time and effort to help promote not just Bukidnon but also Mindanao. And as I can see from their meeting yesterday the group will be very busy the next months because Irene already asks support from Bukidnon’s very own Migs Zubiri and some other big personalities that are willing to support the group and its cause.

My 2nd Wordcamp Philippines!

I have just attended the Wordcamp Philippines 2010 along with fellow bloggers Mindanaoan, Cherry and Jenjacqs. This was my 2nd time to attend this event and the first one was last year. This year Matt Mullenweg grace the event which is no wonder participants was more than a half compared to last year. One thing I will always remember is that I got lucky have the chance to take photos with Matt Mullenweg as well as chat with him casually. hehehe credits to Mindanaoan ;) And also I won yet another t-shirt but this time its a "Make Web Not War" Wordpress t-shirt from Microsoft. Last year it was a Wordcamp t-shirt that I won but this year the Wordcamp t-shirt was given freely inside our kits. Which reminds me that I like so much our kits this year it was packed in a uniquely design bag Wordcamp logo.

Anyways, here's my summary of the event...
In the morning we attended the 3 breakout sessions we choose upon our registration online and mine was the following:
  • Misty BelardoIntegrating Social Media
    - The speaker more likely talk on getting to know social media. Topics tackle was for beginners.
  • Jonas Roque - Customizing a WordPress Blog with Themes and Plugins
    - This was a fun session and I really did learned a lot. The topic was more on the technical part in costumizing webpage/blog. Jonas Roque was kind of not used in speaking/explaining infront of so many bloggers all of us go out in the room with new knowledge.
  • Jayvee FernandezBlogging with Passion
    - As the description itself the speaker did shared how he blog passionately and what motivates him to blog.
And in the afternoon also a lot more topics discussed by various speakers; Social Media: Powered by WordPress, Blogging Ethics and Google University. After that was the question and answer portion with Matt Mullenweg.
My special thanks to Ria Jose and avatar media for inviting CDO Bloggers for the dinner after the event. Kudos to Avatar Media and the Wordcamp Philippines 2010 organizers, volunteers and sponsors for the success of the event!

My Top 3 Fave Post At GESM

Week #5 Blogversary Contest of Gandaeversomuch.com is here. And it’s another contest GESM readers look forward into joining. Ofcourse, because definitely every readers has their own fave post. This weeks contest is about "Your Favorite GESM Blog Post". Hmmmm.. Medyo nahirapan talaga ako pumili kasi I have several favorites in this blog pero good thing I manage to picked my top 3 fave post of GESM. And here it goes…

In the meantime, be happy. Masarap ang mabuhay.
  2. Things To Celebrate About Being Single (Again!) - Fave ko to kasi when I got desperate to have a relationship this reasons would make me stop and think na being single has a lot advantages and is not that bad after all basta huwag ka nga lang magpaka single forever.
  3. Para Ito Sa Mga Trinaydor Ng Kaibigan - Eto kasali sa top 3 fave ko kasi I know a lot of friends na pagnabasa etong blog post na eto would definitely relate into. I remember after reading this blog post I immediately shared it in my personal facebook and all other social media sites para mabasa ng mga friends ko ang mga payo ni Orman ng matulungan sila in coping up with traitors. ;)

Ganda Ever So Much!

Why I Like Ganda Ever So Much

Being part of the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3 gave me the opportunity to know fellow bloggers not only from Mindanao but also from other places in the Philippines. In that event also I met the famous Manansala bloggers from General Santos; Avel (Gensantos.com) and Orman (GandaEverSoMuch.com). And this is how I found out about Ganda Ever So Much by Orman Manansala.
When I first visit the blog I said "Wow I love the layout very unique!" yun talaga una ko na notice specially the hands on both sides of the blog and ofcourse the frog icon on the header which I fine weird at first. Hindi ko kasi gets eh… lols. Anyways, when I started reading his blog post I enjoyed it a lot. I remember the first blog post I read it was “Bakit katamad maligo pagweekend?” natawa talaga ako sa post na yun kasi nga totoo lahat. Since then I got caught up and then go on reading the past blog post. Ang maganda sa blog ni Orman is that the way he posted his blog post na patula so hindi ka talaga ma-bore sa kakabasa. Dalawa din sa sinusundan kung post ay ang emo-ness ever moment and the emo tips. Hehehe… Emotera kasi ako kaya relate ever ako sa mga blogs ni Orman. So whenever he shared his blog post on Facebook I click and read it talaga but not now anymore because I am already his subscriber. :P I admit hindi ko talaga na-isip eto not until I joined his first week blogversary contest which required to subscribe on his blog. ;)

Ganda Ever So Much!

Happy 1st Blogversary GandaEverSoMuch.com!

Meron pala kaming bonggang picture ni Orman during Summer Safari in Gensan. (Thank you Orman sa paalala.) Taken by Robstroy at Pacman's Sports Bar. Oh diba ang Ganda ever so much talaga kami! :P

SM City Cagayan Wifi launching

Yesterday the CDOBloggers were invited to the SM City Cagayan Wifi launching. The Wifi which is powered by Philcom can be access in the entire mall. At the launching there where computers provided by STI College that can be used freely by bloggers and visitors. There was performances of local talents and lots of prizes given to participating bloggers who have registered. There was also a live blogging contest about "Uptown Malling Experiences at SM City Cagayan" where my fellow bloggers joined. I myself joined the contest too even if I am not used in blogging on the spot. I cant concentrate in writing because there are people watching me writing and the sound system is so loud that I cant concentrate. Good thing I finished my post on time and submitted it. (Na-iraos din ang post! lols)
The announcement of the winning blog is said to be announced on Wednesday at the SM City Cagayan Blog.
